Story
Television series based on the Alex Cross novels by James Patterson
Alex Cross uses forensic psychology to analyze the minds of killers and penetrate the psyche of victims to identify the killers and bring them to justice.
Aldis Hodge talks about starring in and producing the crime drama “Cross,” what he should be known for as an actor and producer, and his commitment to promoting diverse narratives through his production work
Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s “Kiss the Girls” and again in the 2001 film sequel “Along Came a Spider,” and Tyler Perry in the title role in 2012’s “Alex Cross,” which flopped at the box office, after which Lionsgate scrapped the planned sequel, “Double Cross.” Entertaining TV that’s worth watching in one sitting, mainly because of the very good cast – talented actors with good chemistry between all the main characters.
The final victim and our main antagonist especially stand out!
Alex Cross works too, but I would have preferred less muscle and more wit to make the character seem more realistic.
I could forgive this trick if it was used once, but after five it gets weird
The downside, in my opinion, is that there are too many twists and dramatization tricks in Shonda Rhymes’ production style that get on your nerves towards the end – “dead” characters who aren’t really dead, that kind of thing.
And I didn’t like the last scene
