The director of the two previous films, Paul King, has decided not to direct this installment
Story
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey..
OK Mrs Brown has taken a new direction
However, he pitched the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer.. Follows Paddington (2014).
For a few minutes I thought Oh No!!
For those that don't know, the previous incumbent Sally Hawkins said it was time to move on.I tried to warm to her but for me Emily Mortimer is just an older product of the London School of Lovely girls.I know the show has moved on but Emily's opening moves are irritatingly flat and uninspiring. I tried hard to warm to her, she progressed oddly later in the movie…the least they could have done is give her a meaningful script, she seemed too much like little wife who doesn't say much.
All of them carried their roles very well in the endSo anyway the loveable Peruvian finds himself this time taking their initiative and coming to the rescue of family membersThis journey takes his art of Lahndan across the world into guess where
Sorry Em!The same for Madeleine Harris playing Judy, excellent more lines next time perhaps, for both. She may have been trying at times to be Sally Hawkins I'm not sure, but she had big boots to fill and Sally was a roaring success.Let's be fair. A family member is in trouble and the oldest folly and deadly sin is the cause of all the mischief. The scenery in the far off place is stunning, simply gorgeous, it inspired me to go there, as is London which is grimly happy. There is a lot of hilarity in the movie, action and tear jerkers too, but very young children, of not very brave disposition will find the show not so warm hearted, scary in bits, I thought so at times.Visually it's just as fantastic as the previous movies, while the script is at some point flat and a bit predictable, the mysteries unlocked were simple enough for a five year old to work out…aha..the target audience.
Haha this doesn't take anything away from the CGI impact of the movie and one particularly ear splittingForget it if you have healthy phobias to certain creatures (not snakes)
Bonneville appears to have had a hair transplant not sure but he is as always putting in a grand performance, as do the Walters and some great newcomers to the story.Hey..a glamorous character from the last movie makes an appearance let' s just say, I don't think it's the end.
